Social security: Facts and myths about pensions

When you start your own business, you will quickly encounter a myth: that all self-employed people no longer have to pay into the statutory pension insurance scheme. It sounds tempting, but it can be an expensive mistake. This is because some professional groups are still required to pay contributions. In this workshop, you will get a clear overview of the different types of social insurance, who is subject to which obligations, and how you can find out whether you are affected.

You will learn the basics of health, nursing care, pension, unemployment, and accident insurance and find out what deadlines and options are available to you as a founder. We will also look at typical pitfalls and explain why it makes sense in the long term to be as independent from the state as possible.

By the end, you will know exactly what steps you should take next—and which agencies can provide you with the binding information you need for a secure start.
