Many startup ventures fail not because of the idea or the market, but due to unresolved conflicts within the team. Unclear roles, unspoken expectations, differing interpretations of equity stakes, or a lack of guidelines for individual team members leaving the venture often lead to tensions that cost time, money, and trust—and, in the worst case, jeopardize the entire project.

This workshop is aimed at students, early-stage teams, pre-seed startups, and other team initiatives and founder groups who are working together on a business idea or looking to build a company.

An experienced attorney and a serial entrepreneur provide a practical overview of the most common risks and problem areas in startup teams. Participants learn where conflicts typically arise, why they are underestimated—especially in the early stages—and how to prevent them in a structurally and legally sound manner—before they escalate or scare off investors.

Using realistic examples from startup practice, it becomes clear which decisions are particularly critical at the outset and which oversights are difficult or impossible to correct later on. The goal of the workshop is to foster awareness of fair, transparent, and resilient team structures.

This workshop will be held in German.
